The British Business Group (BBG) Bangladesh successfully hosted an Iftar gathering at the British High Commissioner's Residence on Sunday, 9 March 2026, bringing together BBG board members, trustees, and beneficiaries in a warm and meaningful evening of reflection, community, and shared purpose.

The event was co-hosted by H.E. Sarah Cooke, British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, and Mr. Md Mahbub ur Rahman, Chairman of the British Business Group. The Iftar served as a significant occasion to strengthen the ties between the British business community in Bangladesh and the beneficiaries whose livelihoods and enterprises are supported through the Group's ongoing work.

The evening brought together a distinguished gathering that included all members of the BBG Board of Trustees and beneficiaries representing the breadth of UK business interests across Bangladesh. H.E. Sarah Cooke, who has been a consistent champion of UK-Bangladesh business relations since her arrival in Dhaka, expressed her pleasure at hosting such a meaningful gathering during the holy month of Ramadan. Her Excellency reaffirmed the British High Commission's commitment to supporting British businesses operating in Bangladesh and to fostering deeper bilateral economic ties.

BBG Chairman Mr. Md Mahbub ur Rahman welcomed attendees and spoke about the Group's renewed efforts to enhance support for UK businesses and their beneficiaries in Bangladesh.
